Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GPX1, or Glutathione Peroxidase 1, is an essential antioxidant enzyme that plays a crucial role in cellular defense against oxidative stress. It catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide and hydroperoxides using glutathione, thereby maintaining redox homeostasis and protecting cells from oxidative damage. Research has identified GPX1 as a significant factor in various physiological processes, including inflammation, aging, and the progression of numerous diseases, such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Genetic variations in the GPX1 gene can influence enzyme activity and have been associated with altered disease susceptibility and outcomes. Due to its importance, GPX1 has emerged as a target for therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing antioxidant defenses. The study of recombinant GPX1 proteins is pivotal for understanding its functional mechanisms, potential regulatory pathways, and interactions with other cellular components. By producing GPX1 in a recombinant form, researchers can investigate the enzyme's biochemical properties, assess the impacts of specific mutations, and evaluate the potential for developing GPX1-based treatments. Additionally, recombinant GPX1 can serve as a valuable tool in pharmaceutical applications and for the development of diagnostic assays aimed at assessing oxidative stress in various health conditions. Thus, ongoing research into GPX1 and its recombinant forms holds promise for advancing our understanding of oxidative stress-related diseases and improving therapeutic strategies.
