Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CSH2, also known as Cystathionine γ-lyase 2, is a member of the cystathionine β-synthase family of enzymes, which play a crucial role in the transsulfuration pathway. This pathway is significant for the metabolism of sulfur-containing amino acids, impacting the production of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), a signaling molecule with various physiological roles. Abnormalities in the function of CSH2 are linked to several pathological conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndrome. Research into the recombinant protein expression of CSH2 is essential for understanding its enzymatic properties, structure-function relationships, and regulatory mechanisms. By producing CSH2 as a recombinant protein in suitable host organisms, researchers can characterize its kinetic parameters, evaluate its potential as a therapeutic target, and explore its role in cellular signaling. Furthermore, studying CSH2 at the molecular level may reveal insights into its involvement in the pathophysiology of diseases, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies. The growing interest in H2S as a biological mediator has further elevated CSH2's significance in biomedical research, highlighting the need for detailed investigations into its biochemical properties and physiological implications. Hence, the recombinant expression and characterization of CSH2 not only enhance our understanding of its biological functions but also contribute to the development of targeted interventions for related diseases.
