Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KCNH8, a member of the voltage-gated potassium channel family, plays a crucial role in regulating excitability in various tissues, particularly in the heart and brain. Research on KCNH8 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in diverse physiological and pathophysiological processes. Studies have revealed that mutations in the KCNH8 gene are associated with cardiac arrhythmias and neurological disorders, underscoring its importance in clinical genetics. In addition to its role in health and disease, KCNH8 is of great interest for drug development, as it is a target for therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating potassium ion flow. The ability to produce and characterize KCNH8 recombinant protein allows scientists to explore its structural and functional properties in detail. This research can lead to a better understanding of channel mechanisms, the effects of disease-related mutations, and drug interactions. Overall, the investigation of KCNH8 recombinant protein not only enhances our knowledge of ion channel biology but also paves the way for novel therapeutic strategies in treating related diseases.
