Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast growth factor 14 (FGF14) is a member of the FGF family, which plays crucial roles in various biological processes, including development, cell differentiation, and tissue repair. Recent studies have highlighted its significance in the nervous system, particularly in the regulation of neuronal excitability and synaptic function. Mutations in the FGF14 gene have been linked to neurological disorders, such as epilepsy and ataxia, underscoring its importance in maintaining proper neuronal activity. The recombinant protein of FGF14 has become a focal point of research, as it aids in elucidating the protein's structure-function relationship and its signaling pathways. By producing FGF14 as a recombinant protein, researchers can investigate its interactions with cellular receptors and downstream signaling molecules, enabling a better understanding of its physiological functions and potential therapeutic applications. Furthermore, the recombinant protein allows for the exploration of FGF14’s role in neuroprotection and regeneration, opening avenues for potential treatments for neurodegenerative conditions. As research progresses, the characterization of FGF14 and its derivatives could lead to the development of novel drugs aimed at modulating its function for therapeutic purposes in neurological diseases.
