Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OLFML2B (Olfactomedin-like protein 2B) is a member of the olfactomedin-like family of proteins, known for their involvement in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, neuronal differentiation, and tissue development. This protein has garnered significant attention due to its potential roles in neurobiological functions and its implications in diseases such as schizophrenia and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Research has shown that OLFML2B is expressed in the central nervous system and is thought to participate in the modulation of synaptic plasticity and the development of neural circuits. Furthermore, its unique structural features, including a highly conserved olfactomedin domain, suggest that it may function in signaling pathways that regulate cell behavior. Given the complexity of its interactions and the differential expression patterns observed in various tissues, the recombinant production of OLFML2B offers a promising avenue for studying its biological functions. By generating and characterizing the recombinant protein, researchers aim to elucidate its mechanisms of action, interactions with other cellular components, and its potential as a biomarker for neurodevelopmental conditions. Understanding the role of OLFML2B at the molecular level may provide insights into novel therapeutic strategies for treating associated neurological disorders.
