Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Smpdl3b, or sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase-like 3B, is a recently identified protein that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, particularly in the regulation of sphingolipid metabolism and signal transduction. Research has shown that Smpdl3b is involved in the hydrolysis of sphingomyelin, a vital component of cell membranes, leading to the production of biologically active lipids that influence cell growth, apoptosis, and inflammation. Its expression is observed in various tissues, and alterations in Smpdl3b levels have been linked to several pathological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. Consequently, the development of recombinant Smpdl3b protein has gained interest in the scientific community as it may provide insights into its biological functions and potential therapeutic applications. By studying the structure-function relationship of Smpdl3b, researchers aim to elucidate its role in disease mechanisms and explore its potential as a target for drug development. Additionally, recombinant Smpdl3b can serve as a valuable tool for biochemical assays and high-throughput screening processes, furthering our understanding of sphingolipid metabolism and its impact on human health.
