Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DISC1 (Disrupted-In-Schizophrenia 1) is a gene that has garnered significant attention due to its association with various psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. The identification of DISC1 was initially made in a Scottish family, where a chromosomal translocation was linked to the development of these mental health conditions. Since then, extensive research has focused on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying DISC1 function. It is known to play crucial roles in neurodevelopment, neuronal signaling, and synaptic integrity. The study of DISC1 recombinant proteins has become essential in elucidating its biological functions, as these proteins can be used to investigate protein interactions, signaling pathways, and the effects of various mutations linked to psychiatric disorders. By generating and characterizing DISC1 variants, researchers aim to uncover the roles of specific domains in synaptic plasticity and neurogenesis. Furthermore, examining the impact of DISC1 on cellular models helps bridge the gap between genetic findings and the pathology observed in patients, thereby contributing to the development of potential therapeutic strategies. Understanding the full spectrum of DISC1 function is crucial for elucidating the pathophysiology of related mental health disorders and could lead to innovative approaches for intervention.
