Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTEN (Phosphatase and Tensin Homolog) is a critical tumor suppressor gene that plays a vital role in regulating cellular processes such as growth, proliferation, and apoptosis. Mutations or deletions in PTEN are frequently observed in various cancers, leading to dysregulated signaling pathways, particularly the PI3K/AKT pathway, which can promote tumorigenesis. The study of recombinant PTEN proteins is essential for understanding the structure-function relationships of this protein, which can aid in the development of targeted therapies for PTEN-deficient tumors. Moreover, investigating the functional consequences of PTEN mutations, as well as the biochemical mechanisms of its phosphatase activity, informs potential strategies to restore PTEN function in cancer cells. Given PTEN's involvement in important cellular pathways and its therapeutic potential, recombinant PTEN protein research is crucial for advancing our understanding of cancer biology and developing novel interventions in cancer therapy. By producing and characterizing these proteins, researchers aim to shed light on PTEN's role in tumor suppression and its interactions with other signaling molecules, thereby contributing to the field of oncology and precision medicine.
