Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MAdCAM-1 (Mucosal Addressin Cell Adhesion Molecule-1) is an important adhesion molecule primarily expressed on the endothelial cells of mucosal tissues, playing a crucial role in the homing of lymphocytes to mucosal sites. It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and is instrumental in the initiation of immune responses, particularly in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT). The significance of MAdCAM-1 in various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and multiple sclerosis, has spurred research into its biology and potential therapeutic applications. Recombinant MAdCAM-1 proteins are being developed to study its structure-function relationship, understand molecular interactions with integrins, and tease out its role in leukocyte trafficking. Furthermore, these recombinant proteins serve as valuable tools for investigating the mechanisms of inflammation and tissue homeostasis, and they may facilitate the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting MAdCAM-1 in related diseases. This research is focused on enhancing our understanding of mucosal immunity and leveraging this knowledge for the design of targeted interventions, including monoclonal antibodies or small molecules that can modulate MAdCAM-1 activity and, subsequently, immune responses in mucosal tissues.
