  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TPS2, also known as TSP2 (Thrombospondin-2), is a member of the thrombospondin family of extracellular matrix proteins, which are crucial in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and angiogenesis. The study of TPS2 has gained significance due to its involvement in tumor biology and the regulation of the extracellular matrix (ECM), which plays a critical role in cancer progression and metastasis. Research has shown that TPS2 can modulate cell signaling pathways and may influence the tumor microenvironment by interacting with various growth factors and cellular receptors. Elevated levels of TPS2 have been associated with certain cancers, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis. Furthermore, understanding the molecular mechanisms of TPS2 can provide insights into its role in tissue repair and fibrosis. The recombinant expression of TPS2 allows for the detailed study of its structure-function relationships, enabling researchers to explore its potential therapeutic applications and to develop strategies for targeting TPS2 in cancer treatment and regenerative medicine. As research continues to unveil the multifaceted roles of TPS2, it opens avenues for innovative approaches in cancer therapy and tissue engineering, highlighting its significance in modern biomedical research.
