Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NTSR2 (Neurotensin receptor 2) is a G-protein-coupled receptor that plays a significant role in various physiological processes, including neurodevelopment, pain modulation, and regulation of neuroendocrine functions. It is a crucial receptor for neurotensin, a neuropeptide that influences neurotransmission and hormone secretion. Research into NTSR2 is driven by its potential implications in several neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia, depression, and obesity, where altered neurotensin signaling has been implicated. The study of recombinant NTSR2 proteins is essential for understanding its structure, ligand-binding properties, and signaling mechanisms. Advances in protein engineering techniques have enabled the production of functional NTSR2 proteins for structural studies, allowing researchers to identify key binding sites and conformational changes upon ligand interaction. Furthermore, recombinant NTSR2 can be used as a tool for drug discovery, enabling the screening of small molecules for potential therapeutic agents targeting this receptor. Understanding the functional dynamics of NTSR2 through recombinant protein studies offers insight into its role in health and disease, paving the way for the development of novel treatments aimed at modulating its activity for clinical benefit.
