Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of DSG2 recombinant protein is rooted in the understanding of desmoglein 2 (DSG2), a crucial member of the desmosomal cadherin family, which plays a vital role in cell adhesion and maintaining epithelial integrity. DSG2 is predominantly expressed in various tissues, including the heart and skin, and is essential for the structural stability of desmosomes, which are intercellular junctions that provide mechanical strength to tissues. Mutations or dysregulation of DSG2 have been implicated in a range of diseases, including skin disorders and cardiomyopathies, highlighting its importance in both health and disease. The recombinant production of DSG2 allows for detailed studies into its structure-function relationships, offering insights into its role in cellular mechanisms. Additionally, understanding DSG2's interactions with other cellular components can aid in developing targeted therapies for diseases associated with its dysfunction. Research involving DSG2 recombinant protein has the potential to uncover novel pathways of disease progression and therapeutic intervention strategies, making it a significant focus within cell biology and pathology. This work not only enhances our fundamental knowledge of desmosomal biology but also contributes to the broader field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, where the properties of cell adhesion proteins like DSG2 are utilized for developing innovative treatments and improving patient outcomes.
