  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The study of DSG1 (Desmoglein 1) recombinant protein focuses on its role in cell adhesion and skin health, particularly in the context of keratinocyte biology and the integrity of the epidermis. DSG1 is a member of the desmosomal cadherin family, which is crucial for maintaining the structural stability of epithelial tissues by facilitating cell-cell adhesion. Mutations or dysregulation of DSG1 are associated with various skin disorders, such as pemphigus foliaceus, where autoantibodies target DSG1, leading to compromised skin barrier function and blister formation. Research on DSG1 recombinant proteins aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms governing desmosome assembly and function, and to explore potential therapeutic applications, such as developing targeted immunotherapies or regenerative medicine strategies for skin disorders. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, researchers can produce DSG1 proteins that can be used for in vitro studies, enabling a deeper understanding of its interactions and effects on cellular behavior. This research is significant for advancing the treatment of skin diseases and improving skin regeneration and wound healing therapies.
