Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NPTXR, or Neuronal Pentraxin Receptor, is a member of the pentraxin family of proteins, which are known for their roles in various physiological and pathological processes, particularly in the nervous system. The interest in NPTXR has surged due to its involvement in synaptic function and plasticity, as well as its potential implications in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. Studies have shown that NPTXR participates in the formation and stabilization of synapses by binding to ligands such as neuronal pentraxins, which are crucial for the uptake of glutamate and other neurotransmitters at synaptic sites. Furthermore, dysregulation of NPTXR expression and function has been linked to conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, and autism spectrum disorders. The recombinant production of NPTXR protein allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical analysis, facilitating the exploration of its structural characteristics and interaction with various molecular partners. This research holds promise for enhancing our understanding of synaptic mechanisms and developing potential therapeutic targets for neurological diseases.
