Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DUOX2 (Dual Oxidase 2) is a member of the dual oxidase family, which is crucial for generating reactive oxygen species (ROS) in various biological processes. It is primarily expressed in the thyroid gland, where it plays a significant role in thyroid hormone synthesis, as well as in the respiratory system, where it contributes to host defense against pathogens. Dysfunctional DUOX2 has been linked to various thyroid disorders, particularly congenital hypothyroidism, and has implications in respiratory diseases due to its role in mucosal immunity. Recent studies have highlighted its potential involvement in inflammatory responses and tissue repair mechanisms. Given its importance in these physiological processes, recombinant DUOX2 protein has gained attention for its potential applications in both basic and clinical research. Researchers aim to produce and purify DUOX2 to investigate its enzymatic activity, regulation, and the role of its generated ROS in cellular signaling pathways. Understanding DUOX2's structure-function relationship and its interaction with other proteins could provide insights into its mechanisms and pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting related disorders. Additionally, recombinant DUOX2 could serve as a valuable tool for drug screening and the development of antioxidant therapies. By unlocking the mysteries surrounding this enzyme, scientists hope to elucidate its broader implications in health and disease, ultimately contributing to better diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in endocrinology and immunology.
