Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PADI2 (Protein Arginine Deiminase Type 2) is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in post-translational modification of proteins through the conversion of arginine residues into citrulline. This modification is significant in various biological processes, including gene regulation, cell signaling, and immune responses. Research on PADI2 has gained momentum due to its association with several pathological conditions, particularly in autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis, where citrullination is implicated in disease mechanisms. Understanding the structure and function of PADI2, along with its substrate specificity, can provide insights into its biological roles and therapeutic potential. As a result, scientists are conducting studies to explore the molecular dynamics of PADI2 and its complexes, aiming to uncover the exact mechanisms by which it contributes to both normal physiology and disease pathology. Furthermore, the development of PADI2 inhibitors is a potential avenue for novel treatments in autoimmune disorders, making this enzyme a significant target for drug discovery.
