Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CBR4 (Cinnamate-Binding Protein 4) is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the phenylpropanoid pathway, which is vital for plant growth, development, and defense mechanisms. Recent studies have indicated that CBR4 is involved in the reduction of cinnamic acid derivatives, contributing to the biosynthesis of important secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, lignins, and other phenolic compounds. These metabolites are not only essential for plant robustness but also have significant applications in pharmaceuticals and agriculture due to their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. The recombinant production of CBR4 protein is essential for studying its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and regulatory mechanisms. By expressing CBR4 in a heterologous system, researchers aim to gain insights into its structure-function relationships, which can facilitate the engineering of biosynthetic pathways in plants for enhanced metabolite production. Furthermore, understanding the functional dynamics of CBR4 can lead to the development of innovative strategies for crop improvement, resilience against biotic and abiotic stressors, and the sustainable production of valuable phytochemicals. Thus, investigating CBR4 through recombinant protein technology not only enriches our knowledge of plant biochemistry but also opens new avenues for biotechnological applications in sustainable agriculture and medicine.
