Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
C1GALT1, or Core 1 β1,3-galactosyltransferase 1, is a key enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of the O-glycan structures on glycoproteins, specifically responsible for the addition of galactose to the core 1 structure. This modification plays a critical role in various biological processes, including cell-cell recognition, signaling, and immune responses. Abnormal expression of C1GALT1 has been associated with several diseases, including cancer, where it affects tumor progression and metastasis by altering glycosylation patterns. Given its significant role in glycan synthesis and disease progression, recombinant C1GALT1 protein has become an important subject of research. By studying this enzyme, researchers aim to uncover its mechanisms of action and assess its potential as a therapeutic target. The production of recombinant C1GALT1 allows for detailed analyses, including enzymatic activity assays, structural studies, and the development of inhibitors to modulate its function. The insights gained from this research could lead to novel approaches in treating diseases related to aberrant glycosylation, further highlighting the importance of C1GALT1 in glycomics and molecular biology.
