  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ADCY4, or Adenylate Cyclase 4, is an enzyme that plays a pivotal role in the regulation of intracellular signaling pathways by converting ATP to cyclic AMP (cAMP), a vital second messenger involved in various physiological processes. Research on ADCY4 is particularly important due to its implications in cell signaling, metabolic regulation, and potential roles in diseases such as heart failure, cancer, and neurological disorders. As a member of the adenylate cyclase family, ADCY4 is characterized by its interaction with G-proteins and its modulation by various factors, including hormones and neurotransmitters. Investigating the recombinant form of ADCY4 has become significant in understanding its structure-function relationships, enzymatic activity, and interactions with other cellular components. Additionally, recombinant ADCY4 can be instrumental in drug discovery and the development of therapeutic agents, as it may serve as a target for modulating cAMP levels in pathological conditions. The study of this enzyme further contributes to our understanding of transmembrane signaling and the development of strategies for the treatment of diseases linked to dysregulated cAMP signaling pathways.
