  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ADCY1 (Adenylate Cyclase 1) is an important enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of ATP to cyclic AMP (cAMP), a critical secondary messenger involved in various physiological processes, including signal transduction, neurotransmission, and regulation of cellular metabolism. The study of ADCY1 is particularly relevant in the context of its role in several neurological and cardiovascular diseases, where dysregulation of cAMP signaling can contribute to pathophysiological conditions. Research has shown that ADCY1 is expressed in the brain and is associated with cognitive functions, learning, and memory, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in neurodegenerative disorders. Furthermore, its involvement in heart function suggests that ADCY1 could be a pivotal player in cardiac health and disease. The production of recombinant ADCY1 protein serves as a valuable tool for structural and functional studies, enabling researchers to investigate its enzymatic properties, regulatory mechanisms, and interactions with other cellular components. Understanding the biophysical characteristics and signaling pathways associated with ADCY1 can provide insights into its therapeutic potential and the development of new drugs aimed at modulating cAMP levels for the treatment of related diseases. Thus, the exploration of ADCY1 through recombinant protein technologies not only enhances our understanding of its biological functions but also opens new avenues for clinical applications in managing conditions tied to cAMP dysregulation.
