  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MTUS1, a gene located on chromosome 8, encodes a protein that has been implicated in various cellular processes, particularly in relation to cancer. Research indicates that MTUS1 is a tumor suppressor, playing a crucial role in regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis. Its expression levels are often found to be downregulated in several malignancies, including breast and colorectal cancers, suggesting a vital function in maintaining normal cellular homeostasis. Notably, MTUS1 is known to interact with key signaling pathways such as the MAPK and PI3K/AKT pathways, which are essential for cell growth and survival. The protein's involvement in cytoskeletal organization and cellular motility further underscores its importance in metastatic processes. Given the rising incidence of cancer and the need for novel therapeutic targets, the study of MTUS1 and its functional characteristics is of great significance. Researchers are increasingly focusing on its potential as a biomarker for early cancer detection and as a target for therapeutic intervention. Understanding the mechanisms underlying MTUS1's role in tumor biology may provide insights into innovative treatment strategies aimed at reversing tumor progression and enhancing patient outcomes.
