Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AGK (Acylglycerol Kinase) is a crucial enzyme that plays a pivotal role in lipid metabolism by catalyzing the phosphorylation of monoacylglycerol to produce diacylglycerol, an important lipid signaling molecule. The study of recombinant AGK proteins has gained significant attention due to their potential implications in understanding various metabolic disorders, including obesity and diabetes. The ability to produce AGK in a recombinant form allows researchers to investigate its structural and functional properties more effectively, facilitating insights into its enzymatic mechanisms and regulation. Moreover, recombinant AGK proteins serve as valuable tools in drug discovery, particularly in the development of inhibitors that can modulate AGK activity for therapeutic interventions. As lipid metabolism is intricately linked to cellular signaling pathways, studying AGK can also contribute to our understanding of broader biological processes, including inflammation and cancer. Research is ongoing to explore the optimal conditions for AGK expression, purification, and characterization, aiming to elucidate its role in lipid signaling and its potential as a target for therapeutic applications.
