Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CYP11B1, or cytochrome P450 11B1, is a crucial enzyme in the steroidogenesis pathway, primarily responsible for the conversion of 11-deoxycortisol to cortisol in the adrenal glands. This enzyme plays a vital role in regulating the body's stress response and electrolyte balance. Mutations in the CYP11B1 gene can lead to conditions such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia, resulting in steroid hormone deficiencies and imbalances that can significantly impact metabolic processes and overall health. Due to its importance, there has been considerable interest in the study of CYP11B1 at the molecular level. Research has focused on its structural characteristics, enzymatic activity, and potential therapeutic applications, especially in the context of adrenal disorders. The production of recombinant CYP11B1 protein facilitates in vitro studies, enabling researchers to investigate its catalytic mechanisms, substrate specificity, and interactions with various ligands. Additionally, recombinant CYP11B1 can be utilized to explore potential drug candidates that may modulate its activity, providing insights into novel treatment strategies for related endocrine disorders. Understanding the functionality and regulation of CYP11B1 is essential for advancing knowledge in endocrinology and developing clinical interventions for conditions arising from its dysfunction.
