Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UTS2R (Urotensin II receptor) is a G-protein coupled receptor that plays a significant role in various physiological processes, including cardiovascular regulation and smooth muscle contraction. Research has highlighted its involvement in pathological conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and other cardiovascular diseases, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention. The Urotensin II peptide, which activates UTS2R, has been found to induce vasoconstriction, which may contribute to increased blood pressure and related disorders. Understanding the structure and function of UTS2R is crucial for developing drugs that can modulate its activity. The recombinant expression of UTS2R allows for detailed studies of its signaling pathways, drug interactions, and molecular mechanisms at play in disease states. By generating high-quality recombinant protein, researchers can use techniques such as crystallography and NMR to elucidate its three-dimensional structure and identify potential binding sites for small molecules. The ongoing research into UTS2R not only provides insights into its biological role but also paves the way for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at mitigating cardiovascular diseases associated with Urotensin II signaling. This focus on UTS2R emphasizes the importance of understanding receptor biology in the context of drug discovery and development, potentially leading to innovative treatments that could improve patient outcomes in cardiovascular health.
