Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AKR1C3, also known as Aldo-Keto Reductase Family 1 Member C3, is an enzyme involved in the metabolism of steroid hormones and the detoxification of harmful aldehydes. It plays a significant role in regulating physiological and pathophysiological processes, including steroidogenesis, and has been linked to various diseases such as cancer and metabolic disorders. Research indicates that AKR1C3 contributes to cancer cell proliferation and survival by modulating steroid hormone levels, particularly in hormone-sensitive cancers like breast and prostate cancer. The understanding of AKR1C3's structure, function, and regulation is critical for exploring its potential as a therapeutic target. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of AKR1C3 in sufficient quantities for detailed biochemical and structural studies. Characterization of this enzyme can provide insights into its catalytic mechanisms, substrate specificity, and regulatory pathways. By elucidating the role of AKR1C3 in disease mechanisms, researchers aim to uncover novel biomarkers for disease progression and therapeutic targets, paving the way for innovative treatments that can effectively inhibit its enzymatic activity.
