Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SIK2 (Salt-Inducible Kinase 2) is a member of the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) family, which plays a crucial role in cellular energy homeostasis and metabolism. Research has indicated that SIK2 is involved in various physiological processes, including adipogenesis, autophagy, and cancer progression. Its kinase activity is modulated by environmental factors such as nutrient availability and stress, making it a significant focus in studies related to metabolic disorders and weight regulation. The interest in SIK2 has grown due to its potential as a therapeutic target for conditions like obesity and type 2 diabetes. Additionally, SIK2's involvement in cellular signaling pathways linked to inflammation and tumor growth highlights its relevance in cancer research. Recent studies have employed recombinant protein techniques to produce SIK2, facilitating investigations into its biochemical properties, substrate interactions, and physiological effects. Understanding the structure and function of SIK2 through recombinant protein studies could provide insights into its regulatory mechanisms and pave the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in various disease states.
