Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCBP2 (poly(rC)binding protein 2) is a member of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) family, playing a crucial role in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. It is known to bind poly(C) RNA sequences and is involved in various cellular processes such as mRNA stability, splicing, and translation. The study of PCBP2 has gained significant attention due to its implications in several physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer, viral infections, and neurodegenerative diseases. For instance, PCBP2 has been implicated in enhancing the translation of specific mRNAs, which can contribute to tumor growth and progression. Additionally, it can serve as a cofactor for viral RNA replication, making it a potential target for antiviral therapy. As a result, researchers are increasingly focused on characterizing the structure and function of recombinant PCBP2 to understand its interaction networks and regulatory mechanisms. By producing and studying recombinant forms of PCBP2, scientists aim to elucidate its role in cellular processes and its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in disease. This research not only enhances our understanding of basic cellular function but also opens avenues for novel therapeutic strategies leveraging PCBP2's unique properties.
