  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Nrk1, or NADH-quinone oxidoreductase 1, is an essential enzyme that plays a pivotal role in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, significantly influencing cellular energy metabolism. Its function is crucial for maintaining the balance of reactive oxygen species and overall mitochondrial health. Research on recombinant Nrk1 protein has gained momentum due to its potential therapeutic applications in combating mitochondrial dysfunction-related diseases, such as neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic syndromes. Scientists have been particularly focused on the structural and functional characterization of Nrk1 to understand its catalytic mechanisms and interaction with other mitochondrial components. Advances in genetic engineering and recombinant DNA technology have facilitated the production of Nrk1 in heterologous systems, allowing for detailed biochemical studies and the exploration of its role in energy production and oxidative stress management. Furthermore, understanding the regulatory pathways involving Nrk1 can provide insights into the development of targeted interventions for diseases associated with mitochondrial impairments. Given its significance, ongoing research aims to unravel the complexities of Nrk1, investigating its potential as a therapeutic target and its role in advancing mitochondrial bioenergetics.
