简介
S100A1 is a small calcium-binding protein that plays an important regulatory role in Ca(2+) homeostasis, chondrocyte biology, and cardiomyocyte function. In response to elevated intracellular Ca(2+) levels, S100A1 undergoes conformational changes and interacts with key proteins in cardiomyocytes, such as RYR1, RYR2, ATP2A2, and F1-ATPase.S100A1 Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived S100A1 protein, expressed by E.coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
S100A1 is a member of the S100 protein family, characterized by its calcium-binding ability and involvement in various cellular processes, including inflammation, differentiation, and cell cycle regulation. Research has identified S100A1 as pivotal in cardiac function and muscle contraction, making it a critical target in the study of cardiomyopathies and other cardiovascular diseases. Its expression is primarily observed in cardiac and skeletal muscle tissues, and alterations in S100A1 levels have been linked to heart failure and other pathological conditions. The production of recombinant S100A1 protein has facilitated detailed studies of its structure-function relationships, biochemical properties, and interactions with other cellular proteins. This has profound implications for therapeutic applications, where modulation of S100A1 activity could offer new avenues for treating cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, the study of S100A1 involves understanding its role in signaling pathways, notably those related to calcium homeostasis and oxidative stress, further contributing to our comprehension of muscle biology and disease mechanisms. Overall, the exploration of S100A1 as a recombinant protein serves as a vital tool in advancing both basic and clinical research in the context of cardiac health and disease.
