简介
Microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) critically promotes microtubule assembly and stability, influencing neuronal polarity by acting as an important junction protein. Its dual role involves C-terminal binding to axonal microtubules and N-terminal binding to neuroplasmic membrane components. Tau-A/SC1 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived Tau-A/SC1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-10*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Tau-A/SC1 recombinant protein research has gained significant attention in recent years due to its implications in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease (AD). Tau is a microtubule-associated protein that plays a crucial role in stabilizing neuronal structures. However, in pathological conditions, tau undergoes hyperphosphorylation, leading to the formation of neurofibrillary tangles that are characteristic of AD and other tauopathies. SC1 is a specific isoform of tau that has been implicated in promoting neurodegenerative processes. Understanding the molecular mechanisms behind tau aggregation and its interactions with other cellular components is vital for developing potential therapeutic strategies. Researchers are utilizing recombinant DNA technology to produce Tau-A/SC1 proteins, allowing for in-depth studies of their biochemical properties, aggregation behavior, and cellular effects. This research is not only critical for elucidating the pathophysiology of tau-related diseases but also for identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Through the investigation of Tau-A/SC1, scientists aim to provide insights into the fundamental processes that drive neurodegeneration, which may ultimately contribute to the development of effective interventions to combat AD and related disorders.
