  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Tenascin-C (TNC) is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and tissue remodeling. Its expression is particularly prominent during embryonic development and in wound healing, making it a significant factor in tissue repair and regeneration. Researchers have been investigating TNC's potential implications in various pathological conditions, such as cancer metastasis, where altered TNC expression is often observed. Additionally, TNC has been implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders and autoimmune diseases. The use of recombinant TNC (rTNC) proteins in research offers an invaluable tool for studying the protein's functional roles and interactions in these contexts. By producing rTNC in controlled laboratory conditions, scientists can explore its effects on cell behavior, signaling pathways, and the overall extracellular matrix environment. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of TNC's involvement in health and disease, potentially paving the way for therapeutic approaches targeting TNC-related pathologies. Furthermore, advancements in recombinant protein technology enable the generation of specific TNC isoforms, facilitating more precise studies on its diverse functions. Overall, the study of recombinant Tenascin-C proteins is pivotal for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying TNC's roles in development, disease, and regeneration.
