Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GAL6, or Galectin-6, is a member of the galectin family of proteins, which are characterized by their ability to bind to β-galactosides and are involved in various biological processes, including cell-cell adhesion, immune response modulation, and apoptosis regulation. Research on GAL6 has gained traction due to its significant role in pathological conditions such as cancer, where it influences tumor progression and metastasis. The importance of galectins in immune system regulation has prompted investigations into GAL6’s potential as a biomarker for disease and as a target for therapeutic intervention. Studies have shown that GAL6 can affect cellular signaling pathways and modulate the tumor microenvironment, making it a promising candidate for understanding the complexities of cancer biology. Moreover, as recombinant proteins become more prevalent in biomedical research, the production and characterization of GAL6 as a recombinant protein has opened new avenues for exploring its functional properties, interactions with other biomolecules, and potential applications in drug development. The use of GAL6 in targeted therapies could offer novel strategies for managing diseases associated with its dysregulation, highlighting the importance of ongoing research in this area. As scientists continue to elucidate the detailed mechanisms underlying GAL6’s functions, the potential for discovery in both basic and applied sciences expands, paving the way for innovative approaches to treatment and diagnosis in a variety of health-related fields.
