Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GAL14 is a fusion protein derived from the Galectin family, known for its ability to bind β-galactosides, which play crucial roles in various biological processes, including cell-cell interactions, immune responses, and cancer progression. Research on GAL14 is significant due to its potential applications in therapeutic and diagnostic fields. Galectins, including GAL14, have been implicated in tumor development and metastasis, making them attractive targets for cancer treatment strategies. The study of GAL14 not only aids in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying galectin function but also provides insights into the design of galectin inhibitors that could disrupt their interactions in pathological conditions. Additionally, GAL14's unique properties as a recombinant protein enable its use as a tool in biotechnological applications, such as biosensors and drug delivery systems. As scientists continue to explore the functional roles of GAL14, the protein's applications in regenerative medicine and targeted therapies are also being investigated, highlighting its significance in advancing health care solutions. Overall, the ongoing research on GAL14 signifies its importance in both fundamental biology and clinical applications, emphasizing the need for further exploration of its properties and mechanisms of action.
