Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    CTRB1

  • 简介

Chymotrypsinogen B (CTRB1) is the precursor of the pancreatic proteolytic enzymes. CTRB1 is synthesized in the acinar cells of the pancreas and secreted into the small intestine where it undergoes proteolytic activation to generate the functional enzyme. CTRB1 enables serine-type endopeptidase activity, being involved in response to apoptotic signal, nutrient, cytokine and peptide hormone. CTRB1 is located in lysosome and is a biomarker of pancreatitis. CTRB1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CTRB1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CTRB1, or Chymotrypsinogen B1, is a serine protease involved in various physiological processes, including protein digestion and immune response regulation. Research on CTRB1 recombinant protein has gained traction due to its potential therapeutic implications, particularly in treating pancreatic disorders and other conditions linked to protein metabolism. The ability to produce CTRB1 as a recombinant protein facilitates detailed studies on its structure and functionality, allowing for the exploration of its enzymatic mechanisms and interactions with substrates and inhibitors. Moreover, recombinantly produced CTRB1 can be utilized in biochemical assays and drug development, providing insights into how modulating its activity could influence disease outcomes. Given its role in health and disease, understanding CTRB1’s structure-function relationship through recombinant technology is crucial for harnessing its therapeutic potential and elucidating its biological significance. As studies continue to uncover the nuances of CTRB1, it holds promise not only as a target for drug design but also as a biomarker for assessing pancreatic health and disease.
