简介
ARMET/MANF proteins critically support the survival of dopaminergic neurons in the ventral midbrain and contribute to neuronal homeostasis. It modulates GABAergic transmission and enhances inhibitory postsynaptic currents in substantia nigra dopaminergic neurons. ARMET/MANF Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived ARMET/MANF protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ARMET (Arginine-rich protein and MANF (Mesencephalic-Astrocyte-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) are two important neuroprotective proteins that have garnered significant research interest due to their roles in cellular stress response and neuroprotection. ARMET is known for its involvement in the regulation of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and has been implicated in various neurodegenerative diseases, where it aids in protein folding and cellular survival. Meanwhile, MANF is a member of the neurotrophic factor family and plays a crucial role in supporting neuronal health and promoting cell survival under stress conditions, particularly in models of Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. The study of these two proteins, particularly in terms of their structural characteristics, functional mechanisms, and therapeutic potential, is vital for understanding their contributions to neuroprotection and cellular homeostasis. Recent advances in structural biology and biotechnology have enabled researchers to explore the possibility of engineering these proteins into therapeutic agents, potentially opening new avenues for treating neurodegenerative diseases and other conditions linked to cellular stress and injury. The ongoing investigation into ARMET and MANF continues to reveal their intricate roles in neuronal survival and stress response pathways, underscoring their importance in the field of neurobiology and their potential as targets for innovative therapeutic strategies.
