  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF) is a protein that has garnered significant interest in recent years due to its neuroprotective properties and potential therapeutic implications for neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson's disease. CDNF belongs to the family of neurotrophic factors and is primarily expressed in the central nervous system, where it promotes the survival, growth, and differentiation of dopaminergic neurons. Research indicates that CDNF can alleviate neuroinflammation, reduce oxidative stress, and enhance neuronal function, making it a promising candidate for neuroprotective strategies. Investigations into the recombinant expression of CDNF have facilitated the exploration of its functional mechanisms and applications in cellular and animal models of neurodegeneration. Recombinant CDNF has shown promise in preclinical studies, demonstrating the ability to restore motor function and protect against neuronal cell death. Ongoing studies aim to elucidate the precise signaling pathways activated by CDNF, as well as its interactions with other neuroprotective factors. Furthermore, the evaluation of delivery methods for CDNF, including gene therapy approaches and potential drug formulations, is crucial for advancing its clinical application. Collectively, the growing body of evidence supporting the neuroprotective role of CDNF highlights its potential as a therapeutic agent for Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions, paving the way for future clinical trials and treatment innovations.
