简介
The ATF2 protein is a transcriptional activator that regulates anti-apoptotic genes, cell growth, and DNA damage responses. It binds to CRE and AP-1 sequences and plays a key role in nuclear transcription. ATF2 Protein, Human (sf9, His-GST) is the recombinant human-derived ATF2 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His, N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ATF2 (Activating Transcription Factor 2) is a key player in cellular responses to stress and is involved in various physiological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. As a member of the ATF/CREB family of transcription factors, ATF2 can be activated by several stress-related signaling pathways, such as MAPK pathways, which respond to environmental stresses like UV radiation, heat shock, and oxidative stress. Dysregulation of ATF2 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, where it can influence tumor growth and metastasis. Research into the structure and function of recombinant ATF2 protein has gained momentum in recent years as scientists aim to elucidate its molecular mechanisms and understand its role in gene expression regulation. By studying the recombinant protein, researchers can investigate its binding affinities, post-translational modifications, and interactions with other cellular proteins. Additionally, recombinant ATF2 is also explored for its potential as a therapeutic target or biomarker in cancer treatment and other stress-related disorders. Understanding the detailed biology of ATF2 through recombinant protein studies is crucial for developing novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in pathological conditions, ultimately contributing to improved disease management and patient outcomes.
