简介
PGCP is a carboxypeptidase with a potentially critical role in the hydrolysis of circulating peptides. It catalyzes the cleavage of terminally unsubstituted dipeptides, releasing amino acids. PGCP Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived PGCP protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PGCP (Prostate-Specific Glandular Cationic Protein) is a protein that has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its potential roles in prostate cancer progression and diagnosis. Originally identified as a secretory product of prostate tissue, PGCP is thought to be involved in various physiological processes, including cell adhesion and signaling. Research has indicated that altered expression levels of PGCP may correlate with the aggressiveness of prostate tumors, making it a promising biomarker for early detection and prognosis. Furthermore, the study of PGCP and its interactions with other cellular molecules could provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying prostate cancer. Understanding the structure and function of PGCP through advanced techniques such as protein reconstitution, structural biology, and molecular modeling will not only enhance our knowledge of its biological roles but also aid in the development of targeted therapies and diagnostic tools. Given the rising incidence of prostate cancer and the limitations of current screening methods, PGCP research is timely and vital for improving patient outcomes and advancing cancer care strategies.
