Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) is a vital intracellular signaling protein that plays a critical role in the regulation of various biological processes, including hematopoiesis and immune response. Mutations in the JAK2 gene, particularly the V617F mutation, are commonly associated with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) such as polycythemia vera and essential thrombocythemia. The understanding of JAK2 function and its pathogenic variants has accelerated research into targeted therapies for these disorders. Recombining JAK2 proteins for research purposes allows scientists to study the structural and functional implications of mutations in detail, facilitating the identification of small molecule inhibitors that can selectively disrupt aberrant JAK2 activity. The ability to express and purify recombinant JAK2 proteins provides a powerful tool for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying JAK2-related pathologies and helps in the development of novel therapeutic approaches. As such, the study of recombinant JAK2 proteins not only enhances our understanding of its role in normal physiology and disease but also aids in the ongoing quest to create effective treatments for MPNs and other JAK2-associated disorders.
