  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SEZ6/BSRP-C is a member of the SEZ6 family of proteins, which play crucial roles in various cellular processes, including cell signaling, differentiation, and neuronal development. The study of SEZ6/BSRP-C is particularly relevant due to its involvement in synaptic function and its potential link to neurological disorders. Research has shown that abnormalities in SEZ6 can impact synaptic plasticity, a fundamental mechanism underlying learning and memory. Additionally, SEZ6/BSRP-C has been implicated in the regulation of cellular responses to stress and in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Given its functions, understanding the structure and mechanism of SEZ6/BSRP-C is essential for elucidating its role in normal physiological processes and in the pathology of diseases such as autism, schizophrenia, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production and purification of SEZ6/BSRP-C, enabling detailed studies on its interactions with other molecular partners and its role in signaling pathways. Unraveling the functional implications of SEZ6/BSRP-C could provide insights into therapeutic targets for neurological conditions, making it a significant focus of current biomedical research.
