Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    TrkC

  • 简介

TrkC Protein, a receptor tyrosine kinase, crucially contributes to nervous system and potential heart development. Upon NTF3/neurotrophin-3 binding, TrkC undergoes autophosphorylation, activating pathways like phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/AKT and MAPK. These pathways regulate cell survival and differentiation, emphasizing TrkC's pivotal role in essential cellular processes during development. TrkC Protein, Human (HEK293, His-Fc) is the recombinant human-derived TrkC protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc, C-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TrkC, or Tropomyosin receptor kinase C, is a member of the Trk family of neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinases that are vital for the development and maintenance of the nervous system. It specifically binds to neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) and plays a critical role in neuronal survival, differentiation, and the regulation of synaptic plasticity. Research on TrkC recombinant proteins has gained significant attention due to their potential therapeutic applications in neurodegenerative diseases and peripheral nerve injuries. Understanding the structure and function of TrkC and its interactions with NT-3 is essential for elucidating the signaling pathways involved in neuronal health and repair mechanisms. Moreover, TrkC signaling is implicated in various neurological disorders; thus, the development of TrkC recombinant proteins offers promising strategies for drug development and targeted therapies. By studying TrkC's recombinant forms, scientists aim to uncover novel insights into neurobiology, enhance neuronal regeneration, and possibly pave the way for therapeutic interventions that could improve outcomes in conditions such as spinal cord injuries, neuropathies, and neurodegenerative diseases. As such, the ongoing research into TrkC recombinant proteins represents a significant frontier in both basic neuroscience and clinical applications.
