Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    Lgr4/GPR48

  • 简介

The Lgr4/GPR48 protein is a receptor for R-spondins that activates the canonical Wnt pathway and is critical for organ development (liver, kidney, intestine, bone, reproductive tract, and eye). Lgr4/GPR48 binds R-spondins (RSPO1-4), binds to phosphorylated LRP6 and Frizzled receptors, and initiates Wnt signaling without activating G proteins. Lgr4/GPR48 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Lgr4/GPR48 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Lgr4, also known as GPR48, is a member of the leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family, which plays a critical role in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. As a receptor for the Wnt signaling pathway, Lgr4 is implicated in the regulation of stem cell maintenance and has been linked to processes such as tissue regeneration and development. Research has shown that Lgr4 modulates key developmental signaling pathways and influences several cellular functions, making it a significant target for therapeutic exploration in regenerative medicine and cancer treatment. The recombinant protein of Lgr4/GPR48 has been engineered for detailed studies to elucidate its structure-function relationship and interaction with ligands, offering insights into its physiological roles and potential as a drug target. Understanding the molecular mechanisms by which Lgr4 exerts its effects can facilitate the development of novel strategies to manipulate cellular pathways in various diseases, thereby advancing the field of targeted therapy. Additionally, the study of Lgr4/GPR48 may contribute to the understanding of GPCR signaling in broader biological contexts, underlining its importance in both academic and clinical research.
