简介
The B3GNT2 protein is a member of the zinc-containing alcohol dehydrogenase family and facilitates the oxidation of alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds. This enzyme is widely distributed in organisms, has zinc ions in its active site, and catalyzes substrate conversion through dehydrogenation. B3GNT2 Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived B3GNT2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-hFc labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
B3GNT2, or Beta-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 2, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of glycoproteins by adding N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) residues to the outer chains of glycoproteins and glycolipids. Its activity is essential in modulating cell-cell interactions, adhesion, and signaling pathways, impacting various biological processes including cellular differentiation and immune response. Abnormal expression or activity of B3GNT2 has been linked to numerous diseases, including cancer, where altered glycosylation patterns can influence tumor progression and metastasis. Additionally, B3GNT2 is implicated in the biosynthesis of specific glycan structures involved in early embryonic development and neuronal functions. Understanding the functional mechanisms of B3GNT2 not only provides insights into fundamental biological processes but also opens avenues for therapeutic interventions in glycosylation-related disorders and cancers. As such, research into B3GNT2 recombinant proteins is critical for elucidating their structure-function relationships and exploring their potential applications in biotechnology and medicine. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the enzyme's role in health and disease through refined biochemical techniques and genetic studies.
