简介
SENP6 protein is a key protease in protein sumoylation and is specifically responsible for dissociating SUMO1, SUMO2 and SUMO3 from target proteins. Its remarkable activity in processing SUMO2 and SUMO3 polymer chains highlights its selectivity among the SUMO series. SENP6 Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived SENP6 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SENP6, a member of the SUMO-specific protease family, plays a critical role in the post-translational modification of proteins through the SUMOylation process, which is vital for various cellular functions including transcription regulation, DNA repair, and cell cycle control. The enzyme is known to reverse SUMO modification, thereby influencing the stability and function of target proteins. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in several physiological and pathological processes, such as embryogenesis, cellular response to stress, and cancer progression. Due to its significance in cellular regulation, SENP6 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target, prompting extensive research into its structure, function, and the mechanisms by which it modulates SUMOylation. The recombinant production of SENP6 protein allows for in-depth biochemical and functional studies to investigate its interactions with SUMO substrates and other regulatory proteins. This research is crucial not only for understanding the biological role of SENP6 but also for exploring its potential applications in drug development and therapeutics aimed at diseases linked to dysregulated SUMOylation. The design and analysis of SENP6 recombinant protein contribute to a better understanding of its enzymatic activity and potential as a target for interventions that could rectify SUMOylation-related aberrations in various diseases.
