  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP-7) is a member of the IGFBP family that plays a critical role in modulating the biological effects of insulin-like growth factors (IGFs). Research into IGFBP-7 has garnered attention due to its involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, including cell growth, apoptosis, and tissue repair. It has been implicated in tumor biology, with studies suggesting that IGFBP-7 can act as a tumor suppressor in certain cancers, while its dysregulation may promote cancer progression. Additionally, IGFBP-7 has been recognized for its potential role in modulating inflammation and fibrosis, making it a target of interest in therapeutic strategies for chronic diseases. The production of recombinant IGFBP-7 has facilitated studies aiming to elucidate its function and explore its therapeutic potential in cancer and other diseases. Understanding the mechanisms by which IGFBP-7 interacts with IGFs and other signaling pathways is crucial for harnessing its biological properties for clinical applications. The development of recombinant forms of IGFBP-7 enables researchers to investigate its effects in vitro and in vivo, providing insights into its role in health and disease and paving the way for potential novel therapeutic interventions.
