  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PRKCA (protein kinase C alpha) is a crucial enzyme involved in various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, by mediating signal transduction pathways. Research into PRKCA has gained momentum due to its significant role in cancer biology, where aberrant signaling can lead to tumorigenesis. The protein's function is closely linked to its phosphorylation state, which is regulated by various intracellular and extracellular stimuli. Recombinant PRKCA proteins are essential for studying its biochemical properties, understanding its role in disease mechanisms, and identifying potential therapeutic targets. The production of PRKCA as a recombinant protein allows for detailed investigations into its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and interactions with other cellular molecules. These studies are further enhanced by employing advanced techniques such as crystallography and mass spectrometry. By elucidating the functional pathways influenced by PRKCA, researchers aim to develop targeted therapies for diseases where PRKCA is implicated, particularly in cancers and neurodegenerative disorders. Moreover, the generation of PRKCA knockout models has provided insights into its physiological roles and the consequences of its dysregulation. Overall, the ongoing research on recombinant PRKCA is critical for advancing our understanding of cellular signaling intricacies and developing new strategies for disease intervention.
