Gene name
CDK9-CCNT1 Heterodimer
-
简介
The CDK9 protein plays a central role in transcriptional regulation, promoting the transition from ineffective to efficient elongation by phosphorylating POLR2A, SUPT5H, and RDBP. As part of the CDK9/cyclin-T complex, it participates in phosphorylation events affecting EP300, MYOD1, RPB1/POLR2A, AR, DSIF, and NELFE. CDK9-CCNT1 Heterodimer Protein, Human (sf9) is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing human-derived CDK9-CCNT1 Heterodimer protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with tag free.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The CDK9-CCNT1 heterodimer is a crucial component of the cellular transcriptional machinery, specifically involved in the regulation of RNA polymerase II phosphorylation and the subsequent transcription of protein-coding genes. CDK9, a cyclin-dependent kinase, forms a complex with cyclin T1 (CCNT1), which enhances its kinase activity and stability, thus playing a vital role in the transcriptional elongation phase. Aberrant activation of the CDK9-CCNT1 complex has been implicated in several malignancies, making it an attractive target for therapeutic intervention. Research into the recombinant protein of CDK9-CCNT1 facilitates the understanding of its structural and functional characteristics, enabling the exploration of its role in transcriptional regulation and potential as a drug target. By producing this heterodimer in a controlled environment, scientists can investigate the detailed mechanisms of its action, assess its interactions with other proteins, and evaluate the effects of small molecule inhibitors. Thus, the study of CDK9-CCNT1 heterodimer recombinant proteins holds significant promise for advancing our knowledge of gene regulation and developing innovative strategies for cancer treatment.
