  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Neuropilin-1 (NRP1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including axon guidance, vascular development, and immune responses. It acts as a co-receptor for vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and semaphorins, influencing cell signaling pathways involved in angiogenesis and neuronal wiring. Due to its significant involvement in tumor progression and metastasis, NRP1 has attracted considerable interest in cancer research. The expression of NRP1 in various types of cancers, such as melanoma, breast cancer, and glioblastoma, suggests that targeting this protein could provide novel therapeutic strategies. Research on recombinant NRP1 proteins has led to a better understanding of its structural and functional properties, as well as its interactions with ligands. Furthermore, recombinant NRP1 is a valuable tool for developing NRP1-targeted therapies, including antibody-drug conjugates and small molecules that can inhibit its function or block its interactions. Continued investigation into the biology of NRP1 and the application of its recombinant forms is essential for uncovering new avenues for cancer treatment and improving patient outcomes.
