简介
TMEFF2/Tomoregulin-2 protein serves as a potential survival factor for hippocampal and midbrain neurons, supporting neuronal cell viability. In addition, its shed form may upregulate cancer cell proliferation by promoting ERK1/2 phosphorylation.TMEFF2/Tomoregulin-2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived TMEFF2/Tomoregulin-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-10*His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TMEFF2, also known as Tomoregulin-2, is a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family and has been implicated in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Research has shown that TMEFF2 plays a significant role in tumor biology, where its expression is frequently altered in several types of cancers. It has been suggested that TMEFF2 may function as a tumor suppressor in certain contexts, while in others, it may promote tumor progression depending on the cellular microenvironment. The dual nature of TMEFF2 has made it a focus of extensive investigations aimed at delineating its precise roles in cancer and other diseases. Generating recombinant TMEFF2 protein allows researchers to study its functional properties, receptor interactions, and downstream signaling pathways in detail. This knowledge is crucial for understanding how TMEFF2 modulates cellular behaviors and contributes to tumorigenesis. Furthermore, insights gained from studying TMEFF2 can aid in the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting its pathways, potentially leading to improved outcomes in cancer treatment. Overall, TMEFF2/Tomoregulin-2 represents a promising target for further research due to its complex biological functions and implications in health and disease.
