Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Beta-2-microglobulin (B2M) is a small protein that plays a critical role in the immune system by forming a part of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules, which are essential for presenting antigens to T cells. Elevated levels of B2M have been associated with various diseases, including multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and chronic kidney disease, making it a valuable biomarker for disease progression and prognosis. Research into recombinant B2M has gained momentum due to its potential applications in diagnostics and therapeutics. The development of recombinant B2M proteins can facilitate the study of its structure-function relationship, enhance our understanding of its role in immune responses, and lead to the discovery of novel therapeutic strategies. Furthermore, recombinant B2M can be utilized in the production of new vaccines, as it may aid in improving the immune response against specific pathogens by acting as an adjuvant. As such, investigations into the expression, purification, and functional characterization of recombinant B2M are not only important for elucidating its biological functions but also hold promise for clinical applications in personalized medicine and targeted therapies.
